She married Wyatt Hamby Jackson on 10 December 1931 in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, in a ceremony performed by Geo. E. Farrar, Minister, Snyder Memorial M.E. Church.[2] The witnesses were Sarah Ballard Everett and J. F. Everett. Wyatt and Bernice divorced in 1949 in Duval County.[3]
Bernice died on 3 July 2005 in Jacksonville,[4] and she is buried there in Riverside Memorial Park.[5]
