His wife, Sarah, was mentioned in his will as was his son, William; his brother, George Applegate; Josiah Applegate; and Joseph and William Taylor (Sarah's brothers); Jared Irwin (married to Sarah's sister, Eleanor); there was also mention of other children but their names were not given."
