Biography of Henry APTHORPE of 1838

Henry Apthorpe was born August 4, 1838 the son of William Apthorpe and his wife Sara Thomas in Caxton, Cambridgeshire, England.

Henry Apthorpe was one of at least eight silbings:

Henry Apthorpe grew up in Pomfret near Fredonia, in Chautauqua County, New York.

Henry Apthorpe passed away in November 1, 1857, at the age of 19. He did not live long enough to join the Army during the United States Civil War. However, four of his five remaining brothers died during the war, mostly of sickness and disease.
