Biography

Aznar II Galíndez, Count of Aragon was the son of Galindo I Aznárez, Count of Aragon and his unknown wife and was born circa 832.^[1]

He succeeded on the death of his father about 867 as Count of Aragon (or in Aragon), and died in 893.^[1]

Aznar II married circa 860, Infanta Oneca Garcés of Pamplona, the daughter of Garcia Iñiguez, King of Pamplona and his wife Urraca. They had three children^[2]

1. Galindo Aznárez, born circa 870, succeeded his father as Galindo II, Count of Aragon;^[1]
2. García Aznárez, named in the Codice de Roda but nothing else is known;^[2]
3. Sancha Aznárez, born circa 875, married Muhammad Al Tawill, King of Huesca and had issue.^[1]
