Biography

Anna Maria (Arbogast) Lang was born in 1780 in Ribnitz, Germany, the daughter of Michael Joachim Lange Mindermann (1742–1825) and Christina Dorothea Asmussen (1744–1795).

She married George Henry Lang before 1806 in Germany. Their children were:

1. Philip Lang (born 1806/7 Germany–1895 in Galen, New York)
2. Magdelena "Lany" (Lang) Happel (1810/11–1887)
3. Dorothea "Dorothy" (Lang) Horn (1814–1896)
4. Anna Eve "Emma" (Lang) Sauer (1816–1899)

At ages 50, George and Anna Maria immigrated to New York 5 Jun 1832 on the ship Eugene from Havre, France with their six children.
