Biography
Mary was born on 29 April 1812. She was the daughter of George Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fraser.

- Christening Place: Madras, Madras, India[1]
She married John Alves Arbuthnot (son of Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt. and Anne Alves) on 2 June 1832 at Marylebone, London, England.[2]
They went on to have about 13 children.
UK Census Event Date 1851: Living with her husband John, seven children and nine servants in Upper Wimpole Street, Marylebone, Middlesex, England. Aged 38.
Occupation: General Merchant's Wife
Mary died on 30 March 1859 at the age of 46.[3] Her portrait is at Warthill.
