Biography

Elizabeth was born about 1789. She was the daughter of Thomas Arbuthnot and Jean Buchan.

She married Dr MacDuff Cordiner on 24 May 1817 at Peterhead, Aberdeen, Scotland.[1]

They had at least one daughter.

Her husband was a surgeon in the East India Company under Sir Arthur Wellesley and was sent to India when their daughter Jane was five months old. Three weeks after landing there, Elizabeth died of Cholera in October 1819.

Oct. 14. At Madras Mrs MacDuff Cordiner, second daughter of the late Thomas Arbuthnot, Esq. of Kinmunday.[[1]]
