Thomas Archdale was born about 1604 in England. He was the son of Richard Archdale, a merchant vintner in London, and Judith Thorpe. Thomas was probably born in London although his father purchased Loak Manor in 1604 at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire at about the time he was born.
Thomas was admitted to Middle Temple in 1623.
Thomas married Mary Nevill, daughter of John Nevill, on 1 July 1634 at Saint Nicholas Acons, London.[1]

Thomas held the office of High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 1639.
Thomas was buried on 5 September 1676 at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.[2]
