Biography

Benjamin Archer and his family were some of the earliest landowners in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He is mentioned in The History of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and also listed in the 1820 Federal Census records of Montgomery Co., Ohio. In Ft. Wayne, he was a manufacturer of bricks and the first brick buildings in Ft. Wayne were constructed with his products.[1]
