Susan was born 19 August 1854 in East Union, Noble County, to James Archer and Hanna Sweeney.^[1] The Archer family was living in Stock Township in 1860^[2] and 1870.^[3]

Susan married Patrick McGovern. They were living in East Union in 1880.^[4] They were living in Dresden in 1900^[5] and 1910.^[6]

Patrick died in 1929. In 1940, Susan was still living in Dresden. Her housekeeper Etta Randles was living with her.^[7]

Susan died 5 May 1942 in Dresden.^[8]
