Biography

Robert born around 1808. [1] He was the son of Robert Archer, farmer. As of 1847 he lived at Ballyriff, Artrea, County Londonderry.

On 16 Dec 1847 at Magherafelt Presbyterian, he married Matty Foster of Ballymulderg, daughter of John Foster, farmer. Witnessed by Joseph Steele and James Foster. [2]

He passed away 22 June 1892 at Ballymulderg, widower, age 84. Informed by Obadiah Foster, nephew. [3]

Research Notes

The Magherafelt Presbyterian register gives children born to Robert Archer of Ballyriff, starting in 1814 and ending in 1842.

There is no record for Robert but it could simply be that the records held by PRONI only date back to 1813.

Possible child: Robert b. 1865, son of Robert Archer (Ballyneal) and Ellen McMullan , unmarried. We're not aware of any other Robert Archer. Link
