Biography

Frank's family comes from a Hispanic background that goes back to the Spanish conquest of Mexico and the SW of what is now the USA. He has ancestors that came from Spain in the 16th century to Mexico, north to the Santa Fe area in the 16th and 17th centuries, and then from Santa Fe to San Bernardino, California in 1855/6 and were early settlers in Aqua Mansa. See Frank's ancestors for more complete details and sources. I believe Frank's given name is really Francisco because his father is named that and started using the Anglicized version Frank in his later years after marriage living in the San Bernardino and Riverside CA.

Irene and Frank were not married very long. Irene never spoke much of Frank saying only that the best thing that came out of their marriage was son Jerry. Jerry never knew his father and his descendants never knew Jerry's father actual name until genealogical research was performed. DNA testing has confirmed many, many Archuleta and other Hispanic surnamed cousins with Jerry's descendants. Frank worked in a citrus packing house in Glendora CA when Irene and Frank were married and when Jerry was born. [1] We can only surmise that Frank and Irene met when Irene's father and family was working in the citrus groves of southern California.

Frank was born, raised, and lived in Riverside Ca until 1917 or so when his WWI draft reg card says he was living in Los Angeles at age 23. He is seen on the 1920 census for Los Angeles Assembly District 74 living by himself renting a room or apartment.

Frank and Irene were married in Azusa, CA 15 April 1922 [2]. The marriage lasted less than two years but no date can be found for the divorce. Frank married again to Allie R Fallon 6 Dec 1930 in Los Angeles[3] and again to Martha Olivia Gaugh 20 Sep 1941 in Santa Ana, CA.[4]

Frank was buried 23 Aug 1957 in Olivewood Cemetery, Riverside, CA[5]
