Barbara Marie Fernandez, age 29, a resident of Cleveland, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. She was born on May 2, 1982 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Isidro Archuleta, Sr. And Jennifer Algien-Archuleta. A lifetime Catholic, she was a member of St. Gertrudes Church in Mora, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Baby B; maternal grandmother: Mary Bustos; paternal grandfather and grandmother: Isidro and Lupe Archuleta; uncle: George Archuleta; aunts: Sandy Martinez and Sandra Archuleta; niece: Navaeh Vigil; paternal grandfather and grandmother in-law: Melaquias and Maria Cristina Padilla; maternal grandfather in-law: Alfredo Fernandez. She is survived by her husband: Ruben Fernandez; daughter: Cariña Fernandez; sons: Javier Fresquez, Angel Fresquez and Cruzito Fresquez all of Cleveland, NM; step-children: Elijio Fernandez, Ruben Fernandez, Jr., Isaiah Fernandez all of Chacon, NM and Karly Ramirez of Portales, NM parents: Isidro and Jennifer Archuleta of Cleveland, NM; sister: Katherine Algien and special friend Toby Chavez of Las Vegas, NM; nieces: Nevaeh Vigil and Yvette Chavez of Las Vegas, NM; uncles: Benjamin Bustos and wife Teresa of Las Vegas, NM; aunt: Margaret Algien and special friend Ruben Lucero of Las Vegas, NM; best friend: Amy Silva of Las Vegas, NM; father and mother in-law: George and Erlinda Fresquez of Cleveland, NM; sister-in-law: Rosemary Lujan and husband Martin of Mora, NM; brother-in-law: Albino Fernandez and special friend Glenda of Las Vegas, NM; grandmother-in-law: Maclovia Fernandez of Los Hueros, NM. Rosary services will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 7:00pm at St. Gertrudes Church in Mora, New Mexico. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Gertrudes Church with Father John McHugh as Celebrant. Interment will follow at The Archuleta Family Plot in Encinal, New Mexico with the following serving as Casket Bearers: George Fernandez; Ruben Fernandez, Jr.; Albino Fernandez, Toby Chavez, Jeremiah Fresquez and Benjamin Bustos. Serving as Honorary Bearers: all her children and step-children. She will lie in state all day Sunday where family and friends may call.
