Biography

Carlos Archuleta was the first born child of Jose Marcelo Archuleta and Maria Ysidora Montoya. In the US Census of 1850 (*see note in research) he is recorded as two-years old. Carlos and his family lived in Taos.

Not finding many genealogy records/documents on Carlos.

Great New Mexico Pedigree Project Tues 8/17/2021 2:09 PM According to our New Mexico State Historian the New Mexico Military District of USA was between August 18, 1846 and September 8, 1850.

• IMPORTANT NOTE: Census record of two years old in 1850 has to be wrong. Parents were not even married in 1848. CENSUS MISTAKE.

July 1850 would be 9-months before 2nd child was born in March 1851. Unless Carlos was born before their marriage, or bhis mother was pregnant before the marriage-- DOB for Carlos has to be abt. July 1850. Birth
