Biography

Buried in the Crain's Cemetery at Stateline, Washington Parish, LA.

According to Barbie: Jefferson and his wife lived in Bogaloosa > Spurger > Bogaloosa.

Jeff Ard was born in 1851 and the war was raging in the surrounding area. His father, grandfather, and great uncle were all trained doctors. Due to the war and the lack of money available, He was not able to be trained as a regular doctor. He turned to herbal medicine instead. He, also, ran cattle, raised hogs, and farmed crops. (John David was born in 1851 and William Jefferson was born in 1847.)

Jefferson was born in 1855. He is the son of William Ard and Mary Carson.
