Margaret (Arden) Webb was born about 1538 in Wilmcote, England. She married Alexander Webb Sr., She died 9 Sep 1608 in Warwickshire, England. They had four children.
Although earlier Webb information is available, we will start the Webb story in the late 1400s in villages near Stratford, Warwickshire, England. If Stratford sounds familiar, it's because of William Shakespeare. He was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon and that's the same town. In fact, there are some very interesting family connections between the Webbs and the Shakespeares. The picture below is the birthplace of William Shakespeare. His grandmother was named Abigail Webb, and she is an ancestor of the American Webbs.

Robert was owner of the sixty-acre farm called Asbies.
The Arden Clan came from Warwickshire, England, including some in Wilmcote.
Facts on the Shakespeare, Arden and Webb families were taken from William Shakespeare A Bio graphy by A. L. Rowse 1963:
This biography confirms that the Arden family was a well-known and large family in Wilmcote and that John Shakespeare was a ner-do-well who was often fined for not showing up for doing his duty as baliff or alderman, or mayor, and who vouched for other peoples debts as well as accumulating his own and so lost all his money and standing in the community. Even when William began to make money, debt plagued his father for the rest of his life. John Shakespeare could not read nor write, but had aspirations to be a nobleman and applied to the Herald s College for a grant of a Coat of Arms. This grant was not accepted & put through until after John’s death, when William pursued the matter. The Coat and crest were granted on October 20, 1596
