Biography
Elena was born in 1891. Her birth was registered by a midwife, who stated that her mother did not want to be recognised and was given the surname Arditi, as was the custom for unrecognised children. After the birth was registered she was left in the care of the Congregazione della Carità. It is unknown whether she was adopted later in life. She passed away in 1957.
