Biography

OBITUARY: Florence "Nana", a native of Springer, was predeceased by five siblings, Corrine Romero, Rebecca Arellano, Ruben Arellano, Benjamin Arellano, and John Arellano.

Florence was survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Frank Pacheco; her daughter Raquel Walling (husband Mike); grandson Anthony Walling; and two sisters: Josie Trujillo and Irene Hernandez.

Florence was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, proudly serving her country. She was a school teacher for 29 years in Colorado Springs, Colorado; in Dulce, New Mexico; and in Vaughn, New Mexico. She enjoyed fishing and golfing; a tremendous cook; an excellent seamstress; she loved doing arts and crafts, especially working with ceramics and sheet metal, and she loved to walk each day for exercise.

There was a Rosary recited August 13, 2008 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Bernalillo, New Mexico. A Memorial Mass was on August 14, 2008 also at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. BURIAL: Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States
