April 26, 1929 - Bode Bugle - Mrs. Nicholas Origer died April 16, at her home near Bode at the age of 71 years. She had been ailing, but since October and for the past two weeks had been confined to her bed.
Mary Arend was born in Ospern county, Luxemburg, Dec. 22, 1857. She came to the United States in 1881. She was married to Nicholas Origer, who preceded her in death April 4, 1910, the marriage being performed on June 21, 1882.
To this union six children were born: Mrs. Jno. Faber, Ottosen; Mrs, Nic Frideres, who preceded her in death in 1921; Mrs. Anton Hess of Dubuque; Mrs. J. P. Kirsch, Ottosen; Mrs. John Zeller and John Origer of Bode. There were 17 grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends left to mourn. Livermore Gazette
