Services In Dallas
Funeral services for Lenard L. Arender, 1310 Melbourne, Dallas, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel with Reverend R. B. Tiner and Reverend Billy Shipp officiating.
Interment was in Merchants Cemetery, Smith County, Mississippi.
Arender is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula Cleone Arender, Dallas; three sons, R. L. Arender, James Lee Arender, and Jessie Gerald Arender, all of Jackson, Mississippi; four daughters, Mrs. Marvis Stephens, Jackson, Mississippi; Mrs. Minnie Bell Dickerson, Mize, Mississippi; Mrs. Mary Jordan, Matthews, North Carolina; and Mrs. Mirtis Simpson, Mattson, Mississippi; three step-daughters, Mrs. Vera Moore, Plano; Mrs. Alien O. Bond, Dallas; and Mrs. Edna Ruth Yow, Dallas; two step-sons, Jack W. Williams, Jr., Dallas; and Marvin D. Williams, Picque, Mississippi; three brothers, Dewey Arender, Amos Arender, and Vilos Arender, all of Raleigh, Mississippi; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Taylor, Avery; and Mrs. Salley May, Ovett, Mississippi; 36 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.[19]
