The known children of Jon Arentsen and Maren Clausdatter:
Claus Jonsen 1708; Karen Jonsdatter 1712.
QUESTION: Where is Jon/Joen Arentsen on the 1701 census? He would be about 26 but is not at Leirvik, Schiølstad or Fallereid. There is a Joen Arensen working (Dreng) on Kongnes Farm but he is age 16, making him only 22 if married in 1706. Young by early Norwegian standards, but not impossible.
NOTE1: According to the Nærøy Bygdebok p 224, Joen is no longer in the area or has died sometime after 1712. His wife Maren's death has also not been found. This lack of information is probably due to the missing Nærøy and Foldereid church records between 1715 - 1732. Further research is hampered.
NOTE2: On page 224 there is a reference to two bygsler/eiers (leaseholder/owners) named Joen on the 1723 tax list . One is Joen Fredricksen and the other referred to as Joen "Bruker" and might be Joen Arentsen - showing him to be alive in 1723. It could also be the Joen Andersen mentioned below.
According to the Bygdebok, Joen is of unknown origin, but "may" be the son of Aren Ørgersøn of Leirvik. There is an Ørger (bruker) in 1701: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/ft10041010282121
Joen Arentsen was farming at Schiølstad Farm in 1709 with two other men: Joen Andersen and Peder Olsen.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jon by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jon:
