Obituary of sister Mary Magdalena Arenz-Schneider (1930): "...Mrs. Clara Hass of Eau Claire, Mrs. Val. Heins of Elkhart Lake, Mrs. Elizabeth Marks of West Bend, Mrs. Henry Driessel of Kewaskum, two brothers, Peter Klassen of Sherwood and Peter Arenz of Oshkosh." [7]

Obituary of half-brother Peter Klassen (1931): "... Other survivors are three sisters Mrs. Henry Drissel, Kewaskum; Ms. Elizabeth Marx, West Bend; and Mrs. Val Helm, Elkhart Lake; and a brother Peter Arentz, Oshkosh"

"Peter died of organic heart disease due to generalized arterio arterosis ... at the Winnebago County Home and was buried at the Winnebago County Farm by Konrad Undertaking Company. Peter was listed as being 79 years, 6 mos old. He was born ... in Calumet, Fond du Lac Co, WI. He was a common laborer, divorced and his usual residence was in the Town of Omro, Winnebago Co, WI. ... In the 1920 Census he was living in Ward 8 in the City of Oshkosh as a boarder in the Earl Bishop household and was listed as a Sash & Door Factory Mill Hand.In the 1930 Census he was living in Ward 4 with his wife, Elizabeth."
