Biography
William was born 28 May 1920 in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. He was the son of Raleigh Arey and Isabelle Morrison.[1]
In 1930 he was living in Ashby Magisterial District, Rockingham, Virginia.[2] The household included Raleigh Arey 36, wife Addie I Arey 35, son Donald F Arey 12, son Edwin H Arey 11, son William H Arey 9, daughter Louise E Arey 7, daughter Margaret C Arey 4 and daughter Martha J Arey 3. Raleigh was a farmer.
William Henry Arey and Juanita Ruth Mc Coy were married 28 Aug 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa.[3]
He registered for the World War II draft in Harrisonburg, Rockingham, Virginia.[4]
He enlisted in the US Army on 15 Jan 1945 at Roanoke, Virginia and served until 22 Jan 1946.[5][6]
He died 23 Jan 1989 in Taneyville, Taney County, Missouri[7][8] and is buried in Helphrey Cemetery, Taneyville, Taney County, Missouri.[9]
