She is living with her husband, mother-in-law, and her brother (Samuel Argall) in St Mawes. (HO107/1909, Folio 323, Page 106). In the 1861 UK Census, she is listed as Mary Ann Watts, a widow and a Needlewoman, aged 44 and born in St Agnes. She is living with her son in St Mawes, in the parish of St Just-in-Roseland. She married William Watts of St. Mawes, Cornwall and had a son, Arthur Argall Watts. Her husband was a fisherman, and her brother Samuel Argall, of St. Agnes, was a fisherman, and lived with them at St. Mawes, at the time of the 1851 census. So it only goes to prove that she would pass on the name Argall to her son. She is down in the 1871 census as a widow. washing and plain sewing. Then in the 1881 census as a widow, seamstress. DEATH: She died in 1888 aged 71 years (less 7 days). Her death is recorded as aged 70, in the St Mawes R.P.D. Cause of death: Cardiac failure - certified by Robert Dunstan MRCP. Death registered by her son A A Watts (of 22 Bective Road, Forest Gate, Essex), who was present at death, The death is recorded in the GRO indexes for the Truro Registration District in the March quarter 1888, under reference 5c 101.

BURIAL: Burial is recorded in the parish registers of St Just-in-Roseland as entry 563. She is recorded as Mary Ann Watts of St Mawes, aged 70.
