Lino Arjona was born on 23 September 1874 in Mexico to Jose Felix Arjona and Maria Martina Martinez. The exact location of his birth is unknown, but he was baptized one year later in General Teran, Nuevo León, Mexico.[1] He first married Maria de Jesus Aros (aka Maria de Jesus Haro); they had four known children. He later married Maria de Jesus Rojas; they had five known children. Lino died on 28 December 1967 in Pharr, Texas.[2] He is buried at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr alongside his second wife.[3] His son, Elijio, made his grave marker. It is said that Lino wanted burial plots near the road so that even if people can't stop and get down to visit him, at least they could drive by.
