About Me
Melissa has written and improved 500 profiles for the Biography Builders Challenge and is now a Master Builder.
I love quilting, genealogy, books, and solo travel. I love animals and have been a vegetarian since 2000. I'm currently an academic librarian, and my subject areas at work are history and political science.
I co-founded South Texans for Reproductive Justice with my sister. I was a clinic escort in McAllen, Texas through the passage of laws that went all the way to the Supreme Court (Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt).
I participate in BioBuilders on WikiTree and have a tendency to fall down genealogy rabbit holes, so you might come across me if your relative was my grandma's sister's first husband's brother-in-law's great-great-grandpa.

As we start this first Thon of 2022, I just want to say thank you for being a Legacy Heir!!! Have fun with this one and remember, We take it at our own individual pace.
