Biography

Illischestie Book p.8 "Heinrich Wilhelm Armbruster, journeyman blacksmith, evangelical Lutheran, age twenty four, was married 6 February 1810 in Fratautz, Bukovina, to Maria Dorothea Hunkerin, daughter of Michael Hunker and his wife Anna Elisabetha Schneeberger, stepdaughter of Johann Glass. Maria Dorothea was evangelical Lutheran, age eighteen years, and single. According to his age at his marriage, Heinrich Wilhelm Armbruster was probably born during his parents' migration, maybe in Deutsch-Kupnowice, Kreis Sambor. He appeared on 28 March 1811 as "Wilhelm Armbruster, master blacksmith, Radautz [Bukovina] House #16. Two of Heinrich Wilhelm's children have been identified: Christina Elisabetha and Franz. In 1910 the following Armbrusters lived in Radautz: Ferdinand A., Siegmund A., Jakob A.s Erden, Johann A., and Martin A. (Radautz city directory)."
