Leslie was born in 1889. He was the son of Louis Armentrout and Emma Bailey. He passed away in 1969.
Les attended family reunions. I (Stuerke-1) visited Les when I was recording family history information. Leslie had corresponded with Russell Armentrout, the author of an Armentrout family history. Les had diabetes and had amputated legs last time that I visited him with my parents. Les and Hazel's daughter Margie was my mother's cousin. Margie's children, my second cousins were visited many times when I was a kid.
Obituary in The Sedalia Democrat 12 Jan 1969 tells that he died at community Hospital Sweet Springs. He was married 18 Dec 1918 to Alva Hazel Dickerson. He was member of the Christian Union Church and the American Legion Post 279. Preceded in death by one daughter. Survived by wife, daughter Mrs. J.C. Vogelsmeier, Sweet Springs, one son Edward Lewis, Hartford Conn, one brother James Armentrout, Anaheim CA, two sisters Mrs. Dora Seibert, Blackburn, Mrs Leslie Hall, Sweet Springs.
