Emmeline (Armitage) Warburton-Lee was born in Yorkshire, England.
Emmeline Vernon Armitage was born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire (West Riding), England. According to the General Records Office her birth was registered in quarter 4 of 1856, but the date of birth on her gravestone is 9 September 1857. [1] Her parents were Joseph Taylor Armitage and Ellen Armitage (nee Ingram). [2]
On 5 August 1885 Emmeline married Joseph Henry Warburton Lee at Ellesmere, Shropshire, England. [3] The couple had four children: Violet Warburton (born 1888), Sibyl Vernon (1890), Philip Warburton (1892) and Bernard Armitage Warburton (1895). In 1919 the family's surname was changed to Warburton-Lee.
Emmeline died on 22 March 1934, at The Grange, North Berwick, Scotland. [4] [5]
