Margaret ("Maggie") Armitage was born in 1874 [1] in Warrington, Lancashire, England, the daughter of David Armitage and Amelia Gleave.[2]
She had an illegitimate son George in 1891. He died in 1892 aged 10 months old.
In 1891 Margaret was living in Chester Street, Warrington with her parents, her baby son and 5 siblings. (Her son was recorded as her brother.) Her father was a steam engine maker - fitter. [2]
Margaret married Thomas Hardman in 1900. Their marriage was registered in Warrington. [3]
