Biography

Newton was born in Giles, Tennessee in about Dec of 1817. He was the son of Davis Armour and Elizabeth Lively. His parents moved from Giles, Tennessee to Tippah, Mississippi in about 1835. He passed away in Tippah, Mississippi on 27 Jun 1848 in Mississippi at the age of 30 years and 6 months.[1] He is buried in the family plot at Armor Cemetery in Dry Creek, Tippah, Mississippi. His father was the executor of his estate, according to a tiny clip in The Weekly Mississippian [2]
