from a fellow researcher who says "I am currently researching the Matakana Cemetery and we have a John Armour and Jean Armour buried here.
John Died - 27 August 1914 - age 73 Jean Died - 26 April 1918 - age 84"
The Probate assures us Jean is his sister, and must be single to retain the Armour surname.

MATAKANA.
OBITUARY.
I have to record the death of another of our early settlers in the person of Miss Jean Armour, who passed away on Saturday last, April, 27th. The deceased lady, who had attained the age of 87 years, lived for many years with her brother John Armour, at Glen Eden. Upon her brother's death about three years ago, the farm was sold, and since then the deceased has been staying chiefly with friends. She was of a very retired disposition. The funeral took place at the Matakana Cemetery on Sunday.
