During the (29 Aug) 1850 census, Thomas, a Farmer, was shown living in Lincolnton Township with Wife Martha and children James 8, Carl 5, M.J. 3 and William 1[4]
The immediate predecessor family in enumeration order was his father, also a farmer, and mother living with Margaret age 71, Sarah 19, Joseph 17, Turner 18, and Monroe 13.
Four households after Thomas was John Armstrong age 23, a blacksmith, with his wife Winn 24, and children Mary J. 3, Franklin 2, and Sarah 7 months.
