Biography

Charles was born in 1844 in Abbey Lanercost to parents Richard and Mary. He was christened in Kirklinton on January 12, 1844. [1]

In 1851 Charles was with his parents and siblings in Sebergham, Cumberland. [2]

In 1871 Charles was working as a grocer, and was boarding with the Eckersley family. [3]
