Gordon Armstrong was born in Cumberland, England.

Gordon was born in Border Rigg, Bewcastle, Cumberland in 1885. He passed away in 1969 in Weymouth.

Fullerton, son of William Armstrong & Prudence Eleanor Armstrong, was born on 9 April 1885 and baptised on 25 September 1885 in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, England.[1]

He was married 3 times and had 3 children.

He was an engineer, inventor and innovator. He set up his business, East Riding Garage and Engineering Works in 1907 in Tiger Lane, Beverley, Yorkshire. He was very interested in building cars and increasing the rise comfort and this resulted in him inventing his Patent Shock Absorber and Independent Front Suspension. By 1926 his company was making 200 shock absorbers a week and supplying companies such as Ford and Morris.

He founded The Armstrong Patent Co in 1930.

He enjoyed travel and took many cruises.
