Biography

Winifred was the daughter of Moses Armstrong.

Her ages recorded on census returns reflected extreme variations. As an example, she was listed as 51 years of age in 1850. Thirty years later, 1880, she was listed as 97 years of age. She was in the household of her daughter, Mahalia (Kirkland) Danzey in 1880. This report will list her death as after 1880. Armstrong family information shared by Patricia Long indicates Winnefred was a daughter of Moses Armstrong. Moses Armstrong was also the father of Martin Armstrong, who married Sarah Kirkland, a daughter of William Kirkland d. 1864.
