Lanty's biography can be found in Gansler NT. Armstrongs of the Catawba 1976. At the time of her writing in 1976 documentation was limited but in her addendum in 2001 more was documented,

Armstrong-4954 and Armstrong-3893 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person along with Armstrong-12895. Gansler NT. Armstrongs of the Catawba. B&W Printing, Dallas TX 1976 and Addendum 2001has the detailed history of Lanty and some of his descendants, which I will add onece merged.

Armstrong-12895 and Armstrong-3893 appear to represent the same person because: They are identical individuals previously listed as half-brothers to William and Susanna Armstrong but father of A-3893 was incorrect thus creating the confusion. Christening records of the various siblings and uncles from Canonbie parish are available. Gansler NT Armstrongs of the Catawba (1969) documents this family.

Armstrong-12893 should also be merged with Armstrong-8085 and Armstrong-3893 as well. There is no half brother. There is no documented wife of Lanty however.
