"Harriot" Armstrong was baptized at St. John, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England, on December 4, 1824. Her father was Robert Armstrong and her mother was Harriet.[1]

Middlebrough, Yorkshire: Theodore, 18; Bertha, 15; Harriett S., 13; Ida, 12; John P., 9; Charles Horning, 7; and Ernest W., 4. Wife's mother, Harriet Armstrong, a 72 year old widow b. North Shields, was living with the family, as were four servants: Jana Dybwarel, 17; Elizabeth Walton, 20; Jan Iwyleson, 18; Ann Haw, 13. [4]

Tynemouth, Northumberland; and six servants: Elizabeth Binks, 24; Mary J. Dawson, 26; Jane Powell, 21; Catherine Fitzpatrick, 31; Ellen Clark, 24; and Amy Hill, 32.[5]
Death
Harriet Hornung's death was recorded in Middlesbro' in the county of North Riding of Yorkshire during the 2nd Quarter of 1896.[6]
