Willis—Armstrong.— June 21, at Malvern, by the Rev H. J. Gould, George Reynolds, eldest son of Mr George Willis to Mary, eldest daughter of, Mr John Armstrong, - late of Dumbartonshire, Scotland.
Note: At the time, the Parish of Malvern was centered on Sheffield and included the nearby settlement of Waddington. But the parish itself covered a large area of the inland Canterbury plains west of Christchurch between the Waimakariri and Rakaia rivers and extended to the summit of the Southern Alps.[2]
