Jacques Francois (22) married Virginia Brown (~21) on 9 August 1834 in the St. Landry Parish courthouse, and the following June the marriage was blessed at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, St. Landry, Louisiana.[1]
Jacques Francois died on 2 April 1898 in Arnaudville, St. Landry, Louisiana, United States aged 86.[1]

He was counted on the Slave Schedule of the 1850 US Census in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana as the owner of one enslaved, unnamed, forty-year-old Black female. No further information is given.[10]
