Archibald Arndell was born on November 26, 1886, son of Robert William Arndell (1861–1940) and Caroline Margaret Jasper ( –1941).
Archibald (22) married Rachel Leah Walkden (21) (born in 1887 in Tumut, NSW, Australia; daughter of George King Walkden and Mary (MacGruer) Walkden) on May 26, 1909 in Bangalow, New South Wales, Australia. Their children were:
