Three deaths in the vicinity of Alsen last week cast a pall of gloom over the neighborhood. The death of Mrs. Jacob Warkentine and Mr. Jacob Arens, occurred at almost the same hour of the same day, and were the occasion of a double funeral held Sunday at the Rosehill cemetery of the church of the Mennonite Brethren. On Tuesday following the remains of a little baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Derkson were given a final resting place in the same cemetery.[1]
