He left Zurich, Switzerland with his parents in early autumn 1734 and traveled for 8 months to Pennsylvania, USA

Was one of the founders of Heidlerberg Reformed church and helped build its building.

From Ancestry.com: Arrived with parents in Philadelphia 29 May 1735 on the ship Mercury. His name appears on Northampton land warrants in 1752 and 1776. See "History of Adams County, PA," Family Line Publications "Adams County Church Records of the 18th Century," Family Line Publications Records of Egypt Church, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Co PA.
He received warrants to buy land in what is now Lehigh County on 4 November 1749, 18 October 1752, 20 August 1765, 28 January 1771, and 14 September 1772. He was naturalized on 22 September 1765 in Whitehall.
His estate (Northampton Will File #0741), Letters of Administration to Elizabeth and Jacob Arner; Final Inventory filed 06 January 1778 lists, among other payees, Reverend Abraham Blumer for the funeral and sermon, and George Ecker for "Crying the Vandue" [conducting the public auction]. Other documents (Northampton Orphans Court Book D, page 267 and Book E, page 021) mention children Jacob, Anna Margaretha, Susanna, Catharina, Elizabetha, Margaret, minors over fourteen Salome and John, and minors under fourteen Felix, William and Dorothea [as of 18 March 1778]. On 20 March 1783, the court appointed Jacob Wert of Whitehall Township as the new guardian [replacing the former guardian Joseph Balliet] for two minor children of Felix Arner of Whitehall Township, Felix and William, both over age fourteen.
He is buried at Schlosser's Union Church at Unionville (now Neffs), North Whitehall Township, Lehigh Co PA [NOTE: go to that church page for photographs of his gravestone].
