"In Memory of Archie Arnett The sad death of Mr. Arnett has cast a shadow over our entire community. Mr. Arnett and his family came here about four years ago from Boonville, KY. and have made a large circle of friends. His death was due to blood poison caused by a scratch from a barbed wire. During his sickness he was calm and self posessed. He was a man much devoted to his family and home; a kind and loving husband and father. He was united with the Methodist church when eighteen years of age and from that time has led a Christian life. After removing to his country he and his family came into the United Presbyterian church in this city. In 1881 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Wilcoxson and to this union were born six children." -- Memorial provided by Terri Franks[2]
