Sidney Jay Arnold was most likely born March 12, 1875, even though his birth year varies in records. He was the son of Albert B. and Catherine M. (Jones) Arnold of Greenville, New York.[1]
On June 8, 1898 he married Myra J. Colburn in Huron County, Ohio. [2] They had a son Albert in 1899, the year Myra died. In 1900, he was widowed and living in the household of his parents in Clarksfield, Ohio. [3]
On August 13, 1912, Sidney married Bertha Adell (Poole) Stiles, a much older woman. [4] It appears either they divorced or the marriage was annulled sometime before 1914 when she had returned to her previous home of Bay City, Michigan.
When he registered for the World War I draft, Signey was described as being medium in height and build,, with dark brown hair and gray eyes. He was living in Wakeman, Ohio, and working on the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad at the time. [5]
In 1940 at age 65, Sidney was living on Fitchville River Road in Clarksfield, Huron County, Ohio. [6]
Sidney died September 26, 1952. [7] He is buried in East Townsend Cemetery, Huron County, Ohio. [8]
