Minnie Arnold was born March 21 1877 in Chipman Brook, Kings, Nova Scotia.[1] Her name is listed in various sources as Melinda, Minnie Miranda, and Minnie Marindey.
Jan 8 1896 she married James Sandford in Billtown, Kings, Nova Scotia[2]
In the 1901 census, her father is with them, and their children Roy A Oct 24, 1896, James B March 4 1899, and Violet V. 1900.[3] In 1911, they also have Harold June 1903, and Gordon and George, twins April 1906.
James Calvin Sanford died March 27, 1947 in Halls Harbour, Kings, Nova Scotia[4] It seems that Minnie later married a Mr. Keating, because she is refered to as Mrs. Minnie Keating when her brother, Cyrus, died.[5]
