Biography

Eliza Arnold was born 16 August 1808 in Fairfield County, Ohio [1]. Eliza was the oldest daughter of Jacob Arnold and Rachel Creamer. Little is known about her childhood.

On 11 October 1829 at the age of twenty-one years of age, Eliza Arnold married Samuel Macklin in Fairfield County, Ohio [2]. Between 1831 through 1835, Samuel and Eliza had four children, one son and three daughters [3].

On 22 September 1837, Eliza died at the age of twenty-nine years. Leaving Samuel to care for four children including one infant under the age of one year [1]. Eliza was buried Fetters Cemetery in Fairfield County, Ohio next to her husband. Two years after her death, Samuel married Eliz’s younger sister, Elizabeth.
