Maria Arnone was born about 1749 in Alia, Sicilia, the daughter of Francesco Arnone and his wife Giacoma Unknown.

Maria Arnone married Gaetano Miceli and had at least four children:

• Calogero Miceli, born 1783 who married Rosa Spadaro, and passed away at age 50 on January 16, 1833 in Alia, Sicilia, leaving his wife a widow.
• Rosaria Miceli, born 1792, who married Giuseppe Bonanno and passed away April 11, 1852 at the age of 60.
• Maria Miceli, born 1792, who never married, and passed away October 9, 1833 at the age of 40.
• Benedetto MIceli, born 1793, who worked as a Muratore, never married and passed away at age 40 on August 9, 1833 in Alia, Sicilia.
