Mary Theresa Arnone was born on February 7, 1911, in Harrison, New Jersey, to Concetta Padovano, age 24, and Salvatore Arnone, age 25.  She was the oldest of 3 daughters and one of 8 children. The family moved to Kearny, NJ when Mary was about a year old, where the family ran a successful recycling business. In 1930, Mary was living at home at 250 Wilson Avenue in Kearny.  She was working as a bulb inspector at the Lamp Works, most probably the Westinghouse Lamp Plant located less than five miles away in Bloomfield, New Jersey. 
Mary met Michael Anthony Campagna in 1929, they married in 1930, and the couple moved to Newark where they raised 3 children. In 1938 they were living at 221 Warren in Newark.  In the 1640 census they were in the same house and
Then in 1953 they moved to Irvington, New Jersey. In 1968 Mary and Mike moved to Atlantic Highlands when Mike retired from GM Hyatt, in Harrison, New Jersey. he died in 1976.
Mary suffered a stroke at the age of 85. She died on March 1, 2003, in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, at the age of 92, and was buried next to her husband in Middletown, New Jersey, in the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
