Rachel Arnot was the daughter of John Arnot and Margaret (Craig) Arnot.[1]
Rachel married Archibald Johnston before 15 May 1577 when Archibald was admitted a burgess and guild brother of Edinburgh on 15 May 1577 by right of his wife Rachell eldest daughter of the deceased John Arnot burgess and guild brother.[2]
Rachel, her father and husband, along with others, appear to have acquired some property from Robert Logan of Restalrig but, by a private Act of Parliament, were declared innocent of any involvement in the Gowrie Conspiracy.[3]
Rachell died before 23 August 1626 when her inventory was confirmed in Edinburgh Commissary Court.[4]
